Couples Dance for Beginners: A Two-Part Dance Series

Get ready to sweep your sweetheart off their feet! Join us for a fun, light-hearted introduction to partner dancing. In this two-week series, you and your partner will learn an adorable choreographed routine to a classic 1950s song.
Week 1: Learn basic ballroom holds and the first half of the choreography.
Week 2: Build on Week 1 and complete the second half of the dance.
This series is a perfect Valentine's gift and a chance to connect, have fun, and maybe try something new together!

With Faith Comes Courage: A Yoga Practice to Build Confidence & Grace
Two of the foundational pillars of a consistent yoga practice are Shraddha (faith), and Virya (courage). The only way these can be established is through steady consistent personal practice. What happens on the mat in yoga should actually not stay on the mat but should follow us out the door and into our lives where we need it most. Yoga is a life support system and the poses are transformational tools that can touch us deeply both at a soul level and as a practical means of keeping our bodies fit and healthy. We need yoga in these hectic stressful lives that we lead.
This class will be a combination of both active and restorative asana. We will be more active in the first half of the class to open the body and mind and to get the breath flowing and the heart beating and establish faith in the efficacy of the practice. Nicki will teach an engaged asana class that includes standing poses and hip openers, pranayama, and some backbends, and twists. The second half of the class will be more reflective in nature and slower. Restorative and supported poses will take you from the active side of the practice into the calming quieting side of yoga.
Courage is having the strength to listen and speak from the heart and these softer poses will give you the opportunity to get in touch with what you’re feeling on the inside. Slowly you just may find what you’re looking for.

Hips as a Gateway to Freedom: Free Your Hips, Free Your Life
Weekend Workshop with Nicki Doane
In this 3-hour workshop with Nicki Doane of Maya Yoga, explore how the alignment of your body influences the alignment of your mind as you embark on a journey to free your hips and, in turn, free your life.
Yogis have long understood the transformative benefits of opening the hips safely and effectively, and this session is designed to guide you through poses that help maintain open hips for a lifetime. With tight hips now recognized as a serious health risk—prompting even the American Medical Association to declare that “sitting is the new smoking”—this workshop offers timely, practical tools for improving your well-being.
Nicki will guide you in addressing the four sides of the hips: the front (quadriceps and psoas), the back (hamstrings), the outer hips (external rotators), and the inner groins. Through a thoughtful sequence of poses, you’ll learn techniques to safely and effectively open these areas, fostering both physical freedom and spiritual growth. Pause, reflect, and restore for the New Year through an introspective cocktail of meditation, journaling, and restorative yoga. In this mini retreat, you'll be guided to reflect on the past year, prepare for the coming year, and find ease and restoration through it all.
Join Sam for this mini retreat at Seward Yoga to pause, reflect, and restore at the end of a year and the entryway to another. In this mini retreat I will guide you through mindfulness meditation, a deep-dive journaling session to zoom out and zoom in on where you’ve been and where you’re going, and then finish with a nourishing session of restorative yoga.
The retreat is intentionally multifaceted, each piece working together to stimulate the mind, tap into the heart, and move into the body. I’ll offer a short talk, guided meditation, guided journaling, and a restorative yoga session, though the main focus of the retreat will be on a full hour of journaling. In our fast-paced world, creating the space to write freely and be in stillness is a luxury for many, and it’s often within that space that we can fully empty out and receive insights.
The mini-retreat will include:

So much can happen in a single year. Aspects of our lives naturally bloom and wither, and we evolve through the process. Your acupuncturist will gently insert thin, sterile needles into specific points on your arms, legs, head, hands, feet, or neck, designed to promote relaxation and healing. You’ll then rest quietly for 30–45 minutes—many find themselves drifting into a calm, meditative state, or even falling asleep. We ensure everyone’s privacy by treating only accessible areas, allowing you to relax fully in this tranquil environment

Reiki + Sound
A journey into the ultimate fusion of Rest & Relaxation - Reiki & Sound! When space is created for both modalities the benefits are amplified to promote the alignment of physical, emotional and energetic well-being. Reiki is a holistic practice of healing based in Japanese tradition that taps into the body's natural ability to renew and restore.
The first half of the class Stephanie will guide participants into a calm and restful state using gentle hands on Reiki techniques allowing the mind and body to balance and harmonize. The journey will continue as participants receive the magic of sound medicine through singing bowls, koshi chimes and more. A truly integrative experience, both Reiki and Sound will support the soothing of the nervous system and provide a nourishing fall re-set!

Dia De Los Muertos Live DJ yoga FLow
Join us for a special Day of the Dead Live DJ Yoga Flow, where we’ll honor our ancestors and explore the deeper layers of our practice. This flow will focus on the themes of remembrance, letting go, and the death of the ego, inviting us to release what no longer serves us.
With vibrant binaural beats spun by DJ Seanie Mikes to guide us, we’ll move mindfully through a dynamic sequence designed to open the heart and connect to the spirit. The class will culminate in an extra-long, meditative corpse pose (Savasana), allowing for deep rest, reflection, and a space to honor those who came before us.
